White wooden balcony

Do you enjoy sitting on your balcony, having your morning coffee and taking in the fresh air? Having a wooden balcony is such a lovely addition to a home, but over time these can become damaged or weak. For this reason, there will usually come a day when your balcony needs some repairs done or perhaps even a complete replacement.

If you've found yourself in this situation, perhaps your balcony has suffered from wear and tear over the years, or if you’ve recently moved into a new property with an old wooden balcony, we have some good news. The team here at Solid Carpentry can help! Below we’ll outline our latest project in which we built a new wooden balcony for one of our clients, just in time for summer.

Replacing the existing balcony

Due to weathering and continuous use, the wood of the old balcony had become weak. As you can imagine, when it comes to balconies this can have very dangerous consequences. The client knew the best course of action was to completely replace the balcony for something beautiful, new and most importantly, safe to use.

You can see from the picture that we completely removed the old framework and started from scratch. The team worked tirelessly to ensure that all health and safety measures were met and that they delivered excellent results. You can see from the finished product that the client now has something structurally sound and freshly painted. The brand new wooden beams and glossy white paint of the balcony almost makes the house look brand new!

Do you need our help?

We offer custom solutions to all our clients, so we can repair or replace your balcony as requested. We take great pride in everything we do so we’ll add all the finishing touches down to the paintwork, so you’re guaranteed a balcony you’ll want to use every day. Just let us know which materials you’d like and we can make it happen!
